EarlyON – Old Millbrook School Family Centre is seeking motivated and community‑minded individuals to join our Board of Directors.

About Us

EarlyON – Old Millbrook School Family Centre provides welcoming, inclusive, and play‑based

programs that support children (ages 0–6) and their caregivers. We are committed to equity, diversity, and creating strong foundations for families in our community.

About the Role

Board members play a governance role, focusing on:

• Strategic direction and long‑term sustainability

• Policy, financial, and organizational oversight

• Supporting the mission and values of the Centre

Board members do not take part in day‑to‑day program delivery or operations.

Who We’re Looking For

We are recruiting individuals who bring a mix of skills, experience, and lived knowledge. We

especially welcome applicants with experience or interest in:

• Governance or board experience

• Finance or accounting

• Legal, risk, or compliance

• Human resources or people management

• Early years, education, or child and family services

• Community connections or lived experience as a parent/caregiver

• Fundraising or community advocacy

We strongly encourage applications from parents and caregivers, individuals from

equity‑deserving communities, and those who reflect the diversity of the families we serve.

Time Commitment

• Attendance at board meetings (typically monthly or bi‑monthly)

• Participation on a board committee (optional, based on interest)

• Term length: typically 2–3 years
