That also means that when adults and/or children visit while under the weather, the germs are spread to not only others here as well but to all those who we all come into contact with after we leave the Child and Family Centre.
We appreciate everyone’s continuing efforts to not spread germs.
Just a quick reminder that we are still asking for everyone’s support to stay warm and cozy at home until you and or your children are healthy again.
Thank you and see you all soon 😊

Many people have started asking us, "Are you having a spring clothing swap?" The answer is, we would like to but we really need lots of volunteers to help out and make it happen. The staff help out a lot, but the three of us need some helping hands.
If we hold the Swap, the dates we are looking at would be either Sunday April 26th or Sunday May 3rd.
We are looking for 7-8 volunteers to help out for a few hours in the afternoon/evening the Thursday before the swap to help sort all the clothing.
We are looking for 5-6 volunteers to help out on the day of the clothing swap. The swap runs from 9:30am - 12:00pm.
We are looking for a few volunteers to take the remaining clothing to any shelters that will accept the clothing or to Talize the day after the swap.
Can you spare a couple of hours to commit to helping out? Do you know a student who is respectful and responsible who could help out and earn some of their volunteer hours? What if you and a friend came together and had a visit, a coffee and helped out all at the same time?
We know it is so hard to commit when you have young children which is why we are asking the community in general for a bit of volunteer support. Please feel free to share this as well.
Please call 705-932-7088 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or to volunteer.

In the spring of 2018, The Old Millbrook School EarlyON Child and Family Centre went through a transformation. We began offering more programs and services to families in the community and beyond in ways that we hope have been responsive to your unique needs as a family. Continual efforts to build trusting relationships with families and the community we are part of have allowed us to learn what families enjoyed about the Child and Family Centre and where there was room for us to grow and set goals.
We wanted to share what goals we will be focusing on for 2020.
Cultural Diversity and Inclusivity; We will continue our work to ensure all families feel like they are represented in our programs and the materials we utilize to create a welcoming quality learning environment. Our programs are for everyone to enjoy and we want to decrease barriers and increase opportunities for children and families to thrive.
Outdoor Experiences and Play; We have a passion for outdoor play and recognize the immense benefits of it to child development. To quote Richard Louv from his book, “Last Child in the Woods”, We have such a brief opportunity to pass on to our children our love for this Earth, and to tell our stories. These are the moments when the world is made whole. In my children's memories, the adventures we've had together in nature will always exist.”
Continuing our Self-Reg Journey; Self-Reg is an ongoing journey that we are excited to be on and are looking forward to continuing to offer opportunities for more learning for all of us. “There is no such thing as a bad child”, Dr. Stuart Shanker. We will continue to work together to start or to continue to ask, “Why?” and “Why now?”
Thank you for working with The Old Millbrook School EarlyON Child and Family Centre Educator Team to create quality programs.
If you have any questions at all, please let us know. We always appreciate your feedback and insight.

Thank you to The Millbrook and District Lions Club
We would like to express our gratitude to The Millbrook and District Lions Club for their donation of $1000 to The Old Millbrook School Family Centre Inc. This donation is a huge help towards reaching our $5000 mandatory annual fundraising goal.
We are so lucky to be a part of such a supportive community!
