Stay n' Play

This is a FREE program for parents, grandparents, and caregivers of children aged 0 to 6. It is currently offered  throughout the year.

Tuesdays from 9:00am - 1:30pm

Thursdays from 9:00am - 1:30pm

Sundays 9:30am - 12:00pm

*Wednesdays we welcome parents to join us with their infants under one year of age for a special Infant Stay and Play.

Drop-In Programs are now reopened.

 

Music & Movement

This takes place Mondays from 10:00am - 11:00am in the Dorothy Stevens Room of The Old Millbrook School.

The program includes songs, dances, instruments and fun that will get both young and old moving to the music and enjoying each other’s smiling faces.

** Please note: Parents are reminded to keep sick children at home for the health of our friends. - thank you.

Explore Outdoors

This fun program takes place Wednesdays from 9:45am - 10:45am on the property of The Old Mill book School.  Join us as we connect with nature, explore our surrounding and enjoy the world around us.  Please wear walking shoes and we encourage infants to be "worn" as the trails are not stroller friendly.

Drop-in Gym

Get ready to work up a sweat (or at least have a lot of fun) being active and busy at the Family Centre's free drop-in gym program.  This runs the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month from 10:00am til' 11:30 and takes place upstairs at the Old School, in the Dorothy Stevens Room on the 3rd Floor. 

Lots of fun gym equipment is put out, including balls, balance boards, tunnels, plasma cars and more.  Physical activity is so important for growing little bodies and most children in Canada do not get enough exercise each day. Please stay for snack after, downstairs in the Family Centre.

Thanks to the Township of Cavan Monaghan for donating the use of the Dorothy Stevens room for this important program.

La Leche League Breastfeeding Information and Support 

This program is currently on hold. 

The Third Wednesday of every Month, 11:00am-1:00pm

Increase your confidence in your breastfeeding abilities

Indoor Stroller Walk

Please join us every Friday from 9:30am - 10:030am.  We walk the indoor walking track at The Cavan Monaghan Community Centre located at 986 Peterborough County Road 10, Millbrook.

 

Families are invited to bring their infants and children, walk with us and maybe make some new friends along the way. Wear a jacket or sweater as the track is cool.
