Volunteer
Throughout
the year, we host a variety of programs and community events, some of
which are fund raising activities. As a non-profit organization, these
activities are essential to our programming and the day-to-day
operation of the facility
Ways
in which a volunteer can help out:
1. donate a baked good for our bake sales,
2. sell
tickets during our raffles,
3. distribute flyers
for up-coming events,
4. volunteer your time at a special event
We
would greatly appreciate your involvement. If you are interested
in having your name added to a list of volunteers that can be contacted
occasionally to help out with special events, please provide us with
your name, phone number and email address.
Join the Board of Directors
The
Board of Directors is a group of volunteers who work behind the scenes
to oversee the management of the family centre. We would love to hear
your ideas! If you would like to have input into what goes on at the
family centre, we welcome you to attend our monthly meetings or join as
a member of the board.
Duties of the Board of Directors include:
1. attend monthly
meeting to discuss centre operations,
2. development and implementation of
programming,
3. advertising and promotion,
4. staff supervision,
5. funding
grant applications,
6. organizing special events,
7. communication with
community groups and public.
Joining the Board of Directors is a
great way to get involved in your community and meet new people. If you
are interested in becoming a member, please contact the OMSFC.

You
may donate your time, money or an item from our "wish list". We
appreciate any contribution you can make. To find out more details,
